Section 508 and WCAG 2.0 - What does it mean for me?

with Donna Eyestone
Thu, 02/23/2017 - 12:00pm - 1:00pm (Pacific Time)
In this webinar you will learn some of the differences between Section 508 and the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) standards and specifically how the OEI rubric (Section D and E) fits into the picture. In January 2017 the US Access Board  released a final rule that jointly updates these standards as they pertain to both electronic and information technology - including hardware, software, websites, and multimedia. This ruling takes effect in one year (1/2018) so there’s time to get ready and understand what @ONE and OEI are doing to help you become or remain in compliance. Learn about what’s changing and how you can improve access and inclusion for your online students.
